State law requires all South Carolinians who are convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) to successfully complete the department's Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) before they can be eligible for relicensing by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety. The ultimate goal of the program is to improve highway safety by providing assessment, education, intervention and treatment services for DUI offenders in an effort to reduce their risk of committing another DUI in the future. This program is available throughout South Carolina.
For more information, see the ADSAP brochure.
